| FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS  Marina at Los Suenos Resort Q: What is the closest Airport to "Villa Verda" at Los Suenos Resort?
A: The closest Airport is Juan Santamaria in San Jose (SJO), about 1.5 to 2 hour drive to the resort. American Airlines, Martin Air, Continental, Jet Blue, Spirit Airlines and TACA are carriers we have used to travel to Costa Rica.
Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: To secure your vacation dates, we request a 50% refundable deposit. We will forward a contract to you via e-mail and request your check be mailed out within 7 days (while we hold your dates). Once your deposit is received, your reservation will be confirmed. We request that the balance due be paid in cash, US Dollars, one week prior to your arrival.
Q: Can I rent by the day?
A: We prefer weekly rentals, but we do rent for less than 7 nights. Drop us a line and we can see what availability we have to accommodate you. We try to be flexible!
Q: Where is "Villa Verde at Los Suenos Resort"?
A: "Villa Verde" at Los Suenos is in the Central Pacific region of Costa Rica on Herradura Bay. Herradura is just 8 minutes from the surf town of Jaco. The Jaco/Herradura/Hermosa area is the first large surf/tourist community when traveling South from the San Jose airport. The Villa is in the Veranda Condominium and is within a very short walking distance to all activities in the Resort.
Q: Do I need to rent a car?
A: It is your choice! Some our our customers rent a car in San Jose and drive themselves to the resort. Others prefer a car service to drive them to the Herradura/Jaco area and rent a car locally. Some use the car service and call cabs for transportation. A cab drive into Jaco cost about $7 US. A car service runs approx. $75 for the first two people and $10 for each addl. person. We will provide additional information on good car rental companies and transfers.
Q: I want to fish, how do I book a trip? A: That's Easy! Just contact Los Suenos Dreams right at the Marina. I will provide the contact information.
Q: Should I bring my surfboards or rent?
A: Again, your choice! There are plenty of local surf shops who rent boards. I will supply a list of my favorite vendors to you.
Q: Is it safe at Villa Verde?
A: Absolutely, we have two security guards at a gated check-points. A safe for valuables and passports is provided in the Master Bedroom.
Q: Do I need to take adapters for my personal electronics?
A: No, all the outlets are just like in the states. Plug in and enjoy!
Q: Is there a grocery store in the area?
A: Yes, there are a number of grocery stores in Herradura and Jaco. Auto Mercado carries many of the brands and foods you are accustomed to in the Unite States! Be sure not to miss the local fruit market in Jaco on Fridays!
Q: What wildlife is in and around Herradura?
A: Expect to see Macaws, Green Parrotts, Hummingbirds, Monkeys, Iguanas, and Whales (Whales generally seen Jan - March in the ocean, but I have seen them in November!)
